Michael Mason, himself a survivor of Our Lady of the Angels school fire and now a Downers Grove Firefighter / Paramedic, has assembled an international band of jazz musicians for the production of his fourth compact disc with all original material titled “Angels of Fire”. “Angels of Fire” is dedicated to his classmates who perished in the tragedy on December 1, 1958. The “Angels of Fire” CD is a living memorial to the 95 innocent lives, 92 children, 3 Roman Catholic nuns, lost in the tragic school fire that gray winter day. There isn’t any other memorial to commemorate the victims of this tragedy. All profits from the sale of “Angels of Fire” CD will be donated to the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance and its programs. |
